Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

TradeAI and HR Suite are subscription-based software products operated by Smart Chain Technology. Because both products allow you to evaluate the service without payment before subscribing, all paid subscriptions are non-refundable and cancellations do not generate a refund of the current billing period.

2. Try Before You Subscribe

  • HR Suite — every new account gets a 14-day free trial with full access. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not subscribe before it ends, your account will simply move to a read-only state — no payment is taken.
  • TradeAI — offers free usage of selected features so you can evaluate the product before committing to a paid plan. You only pay when you actively choose to subscribe.

We strongly encourage you to use the trial / free usage period to confirm the product is right for you before subscribing.

3. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals — your plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • No partial or pro-rated refund is issued for the unused portion of the current period.
  • After the current period ends, your account moves to a free / read-only state where applicable.

4. Refunds

All subscription fees, including monthly and annual plans, add-ons, and upgrades, are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date.
  • Not using the product during a billing period.
  • Choosing to downgrade or cancel mid-cycle.
  • Dissatisfaction after the free trial / free usage period.

The only exceptions, evaluated case-by-case, are: (a) a duplicate charge caused by a payment-processor error, or (b) where a refund is required by applicable mandatory consumer-protection law.

5. Plan Downgrades

You may downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so you continue to enjoy the higher-tier features until then. No refund or credit is issued for the difference within the current period.

6. Plan Upgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately. Where supported, the difference between plans may be pro-rated for the remainder of the current billing cycle by our payment processor.

7. Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will retry for a short grace period. If payment is still not received, the subscription will be paused or downgraded automatically. Re-activation simply requires updating your payment method.

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us at info@smartchain.me before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve any billing issue directly. Disputes raised without first contacting us may result in the account being suspended pending review.
